Chico the Rain maker

For some reason I always got a look of disdain like I was crazy in the coconut when I mention 'Chico the rainmaker'.

As a child I was taken, by my siblings and other children from the neighbourhood on the, then 88 bus from Acton Green to The Shepherds Bush Cinema now a Bingo Hall.

Where hundreds of children were left while their parents had a rest and watched children's programmes and various films called the Saturday morning picture show.

I would sit in delight when the theme tune to Chico the rain maker would come on, when I sing it to people now they look at me like they are considering committing me to the asylum.

But again Praise the lord for the internet whilst discovering someone else had seen it too we sang the theme tune together!

but Chico was a shrunken head and had 2 face's another on the back of his head when he turned around and you sang the song- the freaky magic was he could make it rain!

I had no memory of Leslie Ash being in it but she was the little girl who I thought was soooo cool.

Any way marvel at the pictures I found and you can even be creeped out by the available DVD! with a little engine search!

Cruel I know, but when you go out and have the bravado to read trashy mag's off the shelf, dont let yourself go completley....It took me back to the days when no one could be bothered to brush my hair and i was sent off to school with the natty tangle hair.

When I turned around to see the barnet in full force well i nearly fell off me perch! enjoy!
